Finnish marks can be exchanged for euro until the end of February

The central banks of Finland, France and Greece are ending the exchange of their former national currencies for the euro in February this year.

The central bank of Finland is exchanging marks for euro at the rate of 1 euro = 5.94573 marks until the end of February. Marks can also be exchanged by mail. For more specific info, see Bank of Finland's website.

The central bank of France and its branch offices are exchanging francs for euro until 17 February. The rate is 1 euro = 6.55957 French francs. For further information, visit Banque de France's website.

After the mentioned deadlines, the former national currencies cease to be valid.

The central bank of Estonia exchanges kroons for euro indefinitely at the Museum of Eesti Pank. In the first half of this year, it is also possible to exchange kroons at all the Swedbank and SEB branch offices that are dealing with cash and in certain branch offices of Sampo Pank and Krediidipank. The exchange rate is 1 euro = 15.6466 kroons.
