Financial Stability Department
- conducts macro-prudential policy by analysing the functioning of the financial sector, assessing systemic risks to financial stability and developing measures to mitigate the risks;
- analyses corporate and household financing and bank lending activity and produces forecasts for this;
- prepares Eesti Pank’s positions on both Estonian and European Union policies for the financial sector and assists in writing key legal acts regulating the financial sector;
- participates in the development of the framework for managing financial crises and keeps the crisis management tools that fall within the bank’s area of responsibility up to date.
The Head of the Financial Stability Department is Jaak Tõrs. The department has 12 other employees beside him.
Deputy Head of the department is Jana Kask.
