The General Secretariat

• manages Eesti Pank’s communications within Estonia and internationally
• organises presentations and meetings for the management board
• supports the management board in its everyday work and in strategic planning

The Eesti Pank general secretariat helps the management board of Eesti Pank in its work, which includes organising board meetings and the participation of the management in meetings of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank. The staff of the secretariat manage the communications of Eesti Pank, prepare its public events and presentations by the management board and other members of staff, and coordinate the work to prepare the bank’s positions and opinions. The secretariat spreads the messages of the central bank to the public, communicating with journalists, organising press events and writing Eesti Pank press releases. It also runs the Eesti Pank website and answers questions addressed to Eesti Pank.

The department is headed by Anu Randveer and 12 colleagues work alongside her in the general secretariat.
