The collector coin for the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro has gone on sale in the museum of Eesti Pank today

A silver collector coin dedicated to the Estonian delegation and the athletes representing the Republic of Estonia at the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro is on sale in the Eesti Pank museum as of 9 June.

The silver collector coin has a nominal value of 10 euros and can be purchased for 40 euros, and it is available from the Eesti Post online shop and post office branches as well as the Eesti Pank museum.

The silver collector coin is dedicated to the Estonian delegation and the athletes who will represent the Republic of Estonia at the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro. The coin depicts an athlete in position ready to start a race, and the reverse also shows the nominal value "€10" and the logo of the Estonian Olympic Committee. The obverse side shows the coat of arms of the Republic of Estonia, the words "Eesti Vabariik", and the year 2016.

The proof quality silver (Ag 925) collector coin weighs 28.28 grammes and is 38.61 mm in diameter, and 5000 of the coins will be minted. The coin was designed by Martin Pärn and is being minted in the Lithuanian Mint.

The Eesti Pank Museum at Estonia pst 11, Tallinn is open from Tuesdays to Fridays 12.00-17.00 and on Saturdays 11.00-16.00.

The collector coin and the stamp dedicated to the Olympic Games and other collector coins issued by Eesti Pank are on sale in the post offices at Narva mnt 1 in Tallinn, Lossi plats 2 on Toompea in Tallinn and Viru 4 in the old town of Tallinn; Riia 1 and Kalda tee 1C in Tartu; Torni 41 in Kuressaare; Nurme 20 in Haapsalu; Tallinna mnt 4 in Narva; Hommiku 2 in Pärnu; Kesk 10 in Valga; and Tallinna 22 in Viljandi.
