The first meeting of the new membership of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank was held on Tuesday, during which the members of the board heard a review of the activities of the Executive Board in the first half of the year, and discussed planned changes to the strategy of the central bank.

Eesti Pank Governor Madis Müller gave the board the regular review of the state of the economy in the euro area and Estonia.

The board also heard a review of the first half of the year from the internal audit and approved its work programme for the second half of the year. The current rules and guidelines of the bank were also presented to the new board.

The next meeting of the Eesti Pank Supervisory Board is planned for 15 September.
