Liis Dvorjanski is the winner of the design competition for collector coins dedicated to the London Olympic Games

On Tuesday, 27 March, the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank approved the winning design for the 12-euro collector coin dedicated to the London Olympic Games. The author of the design called “Tuum” is Liis Dvorjanski.

Sander Meentalo with his design ”London” was the first runner up and Meelis Leppoja’s design ”Maraton” got the third place.

The winner will receive a prize of 2,000 euros after the coins will have been issued. The second place will receive 1,000 euros and the third one 500 euros.

A total of 52 designs were submitted to the competition. 48 of them complied with all the requirements. The first selection was made by a six-member panel convened by Eesti Pank, but the winner was chosen by the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank.

The collector coin dedicated to the London Olympic Games will be issued in June 2012.
