At Tuesday's regular meeting of the Eesti Pank Supervisory Board, Eesti Pank Governor Ardo Hansson gave board members a review of the state of the economy in the euro area and of the asset purchase programme of the central banks of the euro area.

The Supervisory Board confirmed the choice of the design for a collector coin dedicated to the work of the writer Eduard Vilde. The design is based around the titles of Vilde's works and was created by Mait Luidalepp. The silver coin will have a nominal value of ten euros and will be issued by Eesti Pank at the start of March to mark the 150^th anniversary of Vilde's birth.

The Eesti Pank Executive Board informed the Supervisory Board about how the budget for last year was met, and the Supervisory Board examined the reports of the Executive Board and the internal audit for 2014.

The Supervisory Board had its first reading of the report on the activities of the Supervisory Board in 2014, which is part of the annual report of Eesti Pank.

The next meeting of the Eesti Pank Supervisory Board will be on 24 March.
