Work is starting on the green areas and plants around the buildings of Eesti Pank from Tuesday 22 September and will last for about a month. The trees beside the buildings on Kentmanni tänav and Estonia puiestee will receive attention and the design of the green areas around the buildings will be refreshed.

The work will improve the appearance of the green areas and the conditions for the plants, and will make the modern urban space more integrated. Six trees on the Kentmanni tänav side and three on Estonia puiestee will be pruned. This will be done to shape the crowns of the trees so that they will grow more evenly and more densely.

The current grass area on Kentmanni will be removed and a new planted area will be installed. It will have 18 dolomite boulders installed there with grasses planted between them. The stone pigeons on the corner of Kentmanni and Estonia puiestee will be replaced by three dolomite boulders. The stones measuring at least one metre across and half a metre high will connect the corner visually with the rest of the design and make it into a single whole. The concrete splash guards along the edges of the buildings on Estonia puiestee will be replaced as many of them have been damaged by vehicles over time.

The work will be done by OÜ Kivisilla and the project management and owner supervision by TPJ Inseneribüroo OÜ. Pedestrians passing by should be aware that there may be temporary restrictions on movement around the Eesti Pank buildings and more construction activity than usual while the work is going on. Eesti Pank apologises for any inconvenience caused. It is planned that the work will be completed in the second half of October.
