The coin for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics has been designed by Martin Pärn

The Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank confirmed on Tuesday that winner of the competition to design a collector coin dedicated to the Estonian athletes and delegation attending the summer Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro is Martin Pärn.
The silver collector coin has a nominal value of 10 euros and 5000 will be minted.
The reverse of the Rio de Janeiro Olympic coin shows an athlete ready for the start of a race, together with the nominal value “€10” and the logo of the Estonian Olympic Committee, which are compulsory elements of the design. The front bears the large coat of arms of the Republic of Estonia, the words “Eesti Vabariik”, and the year 2016, which are also compulsory design elements.
Eesti Pank will issue the collector coin dedicated to the Estonian athletes and delegation attending the summer Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro in summer 2016.
The Supervisory Board continued its meeting with a discussion of the central bank’s updated strategy project. Eesti Pank Governor Ardo Hansson gave the board the regular review of the state of the economy in the euro area.
The next meeting of the Eesti Pank Supervisory Board will be on 10 November.
