The Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank approved the design by Kaupo Kangro as the winner in the design competition for the silver collector coin dedicated to the Finnish Boys. The winner of the competition to design a collector coin for the 150th anniversary of the birth of Otto Strandman was Tanel August Lind.

Eesti Pank will issue the silver coin dedicated to the Finnish Boys in 2025, and it will have a nominal value of 15 euros. This coin is the first in a new series of collector coins from Eesti Pank dedicated to resistance. The Finnish Boys were Estonians who volunteered to fight for Finland and fought in the Winter War and the Continuation War to resist the attempted occupation by the Soviet Union. An estimated 3500 Estonians fought for Finland. Some of the Finnish Boys also fought against the Soviet Union in Estonia in 1944, giving hope that Estonia would regain its independence.

At the proposal of the panel invited by the central bank, the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank approved the design by Kaupo Kangro as the winner of the design competition for the collector coin dedicated to the Finnish Boys. Second place in the competition went to a design by Andres Oreškin, and third place went to Heino Prunsvelt.

Eesti Pank will also issue a silver collector coin with a nominal value of 15 euros in 2025, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Otto Strandman. Otto Strandman served as the first chair of the Riigikogu, head of state, Prime Minister, Minister in various capacities, and diplomat.

Second place went to a design by Heino Prunsvelt, and third place to Villu Järmut.
