Eesti Pank approved the design for the silver coin dedicated to Lilli Suburg

The Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank declared the design Manifest by Tiiu Pirsko and Mati Veermets as the winning design in the design competition for the silver coin dedicated to Lilli Suburg.

Eesti Pank will issue a silver coin in 2025 that is dedicated to Lilli Suburg and will be the first in a series of collector coins dedicated to Outstanding Estonian Women. The idea behind the new series is to highlight better those women who have had a major influence on the development of Estonian society. Lilli Suburg was the one of the first to speak and act publicly in favour of rights for women, and her ideas and efforts were quite revolutionary in her time.

At the proposal of the panel invited by the central bank, the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank approved the design Manifest by Tiiu Pirsko and Mati Veermets as the winning design in the design competition for the silver coin dedicated to Lilli Suburg. Second place went to a design by Heino Prunsvelt, and third place to Tanel August Lind.

The winning design

Preparations will be made to mint the coin from the winning design from the design competition, and the design may be altered for technical reasons.

The prize for the winner of the design competition is 3000 euros, with the second placed design receiving 2000 euros, and the third placed 1000.
