Eesti Pank has approved the designs for the silver coins dedicated to Konstantin Konik and Konstantin Päts

The Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank approved the design by Kaili-Lotta Juhkam as the winner of the competition to design a collector coin dedicated to Konstantin Konik, and the design by Heino Prunsvelt as the winner for the coin for Konstantin Päts.

Eesti Pank will release a silver collector coin at the end of 2023 to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Estonian statesman Konstantin Konik. A silver coin dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the first President of the Republic of Estonia Konstantin Päts will be released in early 2024.

The Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank approved the design Õitseng, or Blossoming, by Kaili-Lotta Juhkam, which was chosen as the winning design by the panel invited by the central bank for the design competition for the collector coin for Konstantin Konik. Second place went to a design by Mait Kroonmann, and third place to Riho Luuse.

The design chosen as the winner in the competition to design a silver coin for Konstantin Päts was Kadriorg by Heino Prunsvelt. Second place went to a design by Kaupo Kangro, and third place to Villu Järmut.

The prize for the winner of the design competition is 1500 euros, with the second placed design receiving 1000 euros, and the third placed 700.

Suggestions are sent to an advisory committee that provides expert opinions for Eesti Pank, and its proposals are used by the management of Eesti Pank when they decide on which commemorative and collector coins to issue.
